Art City Days Carnival

This week was Art City Days in Springville, and the very best part of Art City Days is the Carnival! We took the kids on every fun kiddie ride, and they had a blast. Then, we did Mommy's favorite thing: we got a funnel cake! Yay for the Carnival!!!!!

Cheer Finale

Tonight was the cheer camp performance, and it was so fun to watch Sylvia perform. She nailed it! Every move, and she even looked like she was enjoying herself. I was impressed! It was also very fun to watch Auntie Melissa cheer with the SHS varsity squad. Yay for cheerleading!

Mini Cheer Camp!

Oooohh, this is so fun! This year is Sylvia's second year participating in Springville High School's Mini Cheer clinic. Last year, she wasn't quite 3, so we kind of sneaked her in (at Grandma Susan's encouragement), and she wasn't really ready for all the structure of learning a dance and a few cheers. This year, her dance lessons are really showing. Generally, her behavior is good (she only pulled another girl's hair once!), and her attention span is much better. And more than anything it is obvious that she's having a blast, and that is the most important thing of all. That's why mommy was a cheerleader (uughh, 10 years ago)-because it was fun!

Sylvia's Dance Recital

Last week was Sylvia's very first dance recital! She did so well. She danced at her very best, and sang along as well! We taped both of her performances, and she really enjoyed watching herself when we returned home later that evening. Surprisingly, Ben sat through the entire show! He liked the dancing, and really dug the colored lights. We are so proud of Sylvia, and I just can't even believe she's old enough to do all these neat things. She's growing up too fast!

Four Wheelin'

This Mothers' Day, we spent the afternoon at Grandma and Grandpa Orme's cabin in Heber. It was very fun, because when you go to visit the Orme's, you know you are going to be well fed! We had a wonderful meal, and then while the real adults chatted, I took a nap and Nate took the kiddies for a four-wheeler ride. Thanks, Dad!
