One of the great things about living in Springville is the new city library. My kids love spending time at the library, because the children's area is spacious, with lots of fun activity areas. Basically, there is something for every kid! The pictures above illustrate a typical library excursion for my kids: Sylvia goes straight to the wall of new picture books, grabs a few, and sits down to read at a table. Ben goes straight to the computers and gets immersed in a new fun game. And Henry loves the game tables, where he will play with these magnetic building sticks, or with the wooden trains. Since last week was Spring Break, we made sure to make a visit to the library.

Easter
Easter was fun. We ate a lot of candy, went to two Easter egg hunts (one at Uncle Bob's house), and enjoyed a nice church service. I was so lucky--I got to speak in Sacrament meeting! No pressure at all.

Henry is 16 Months
This boy is dreamy.
Henry is a hoot. He is a very needy little guy, and so I spend a good portion of my day snuggling him. Mom and Henry hang: we read books, sing songs and have one sided chats about our day. Henry is a sweetheart, but he only has eyes for Mom and Dad.
At 16 Months:
- He's still nursing...and I don't have the heart to cut that cord yet.
- He eats well, and will taste most foods. Favorites are oatmeal, bananas and eggs. He won't touch milk, period.
- Moving to the new house has totally wrecked sleep training. Henry rarely sleeps through the night now. Heaven help us.
- He is incredibly inquisitive. He loves reading books (and pulling them all off of the shelf), opening cabinet doors (subsequently dumping out the contents of said cabinet onto the floor), and swishing in the toilet.
- No words besides Mama and Dada, yet. He basically calls everything Dada.
- Loves to play outside with this siblings, and dig in the dirt.

Pierced Ears!
The Cute Girlie
Last night, we went to the mall to pick up a new music theory book for the Sylvia girl. Of course, we passed the jewelry store, and Sylvia asked about getting her ears pierced. Again. So, this time, her dad gave us the green light, and we got Sylvia's ears pierced! Honestly, I haven't seen this much pure joy radiate from Sylvia in a long time. She made me do her hair this morning in a style that made her earrings prominent, and she was so excited to show off her earrings to everyone from her best friends Sophie and Gwyneth, to the lunch ladies in the cafeteria! This girl is just lucky that her dad finally caved and let her get her ears pierced. I think he was tired of both me and Sylvia whining.

Cute Kiddos
My babies.
I took this picture on Valentine's Day. I absolutely love it! I think these kids are the coolest.

February Fun
I am exhausted. January was depressing, cold and just plain awful. February is a little lighter and brighter, but worrying about moving is stressing me out. A LOT. I know everything will work out, and that worrying helps no one, but I'm pretty sure that worrying and stressing out is what I do best. My kids are actually not a source of stress at all. Overall, they are delightful little humans, and I enjoy spending time with them. What is stressful is:
Meeting with contractors
Being on a strict time table, and then having the time table turned on its head because you're at the mercy of said contractors.
Cleaning up after contractors (and then returning home to clean up after your children) And then another contractor comes and makes a new mess, and it looks like you've done nothing. Frustrating.
Packing for a 5 block move. It feels pointless. Let's just throw everything in the back of a truck, mmkay?
Trying to get along with people when I am tired and stressed. I have said many things out of frustration that would never have come out of my mouth under more pleasant circumstances.
I just need to get through this month. Then I will be able to be a pleasant person once again. And so far, February has had some high points-namely watching Henry dance with Beyonce during the Super Bowl halftime show, Sylvia writing me a note that told me I am the best mom ever, and Ben just being his crazy, funny self.
I really like my children. Contractors? Not so much.

Ben Lost A Tooth!
My cute Benny boy lost his first tooth yesterday. It had been wiggly for a few days, and I talked him into letting me pull it. I grabbed some gauze, and his little tooth popped out easy peasy. He didn't care much, as I had to make him sit still for a picture to capture this important moment! The tooth fairy brought Ben a dollar, so he's a happy camper now.
