Sylvia started 2nd grade today! Her teacher is Mrs. Morrison, and we visited her in her classroom yesterday. Sylvia is so excited to go back to school. She's been keeping sharp all summer by writing and drawing in her journal, doing occasional worksheets, and reading to Mom and Dad a lot. We've also been reading aloud, and she loves it! We will try to continue that throughout the school year.
Sylvia is 7 years old today, as well! How often does the first week of school fall on your birthday? How about close to never! We sent her with treats for her class, so hopefully she doesn't forget to hand them out today. Sylvia loves school!
