A 1st Grade Program

The little miss in her "costume"

Yesterday, Sylvia performed in her 1st Grade program, titled "The Little Engine That Could." It was ADORABLE!!! I videotaped the whole thing, but I will spare you that here, as I am beginning to understand that those kind of recordings are only interesting to the parents of the child being recorded. Needless to say, it was very, very cute.

Valentine's Day

Sylvia's special V Day bracelet (cherry sours and sparkly ribbon)

Sylvia's Blow Pop flower valentines

My big cuties
(Henry was napping, and couldn't be bothered for a photo)

The kids LOVE holidays.  Actually, they love any excuse to run into my room first thing in the morning and shout at me.  This morning, they shouted "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!!" at the top of their lungs.  We started our day with heart shaped pancakes, or as Sylvia says, "flapjacks."  She's weird.  Both kids have V Day parties at school today, so that will be a lot of fun for them.  We put a lot of time into the Blow Pop valentines, because Sylvia was super into it.  I had to put Ben's Spider Man valentines together for him, and force him to sign his name.  That was how into it he was!

Our other Valentine's Day fun will include:

Lunch with Daddy
Making yummy Valentine Chex Mix (recipe here)
Coloring cute Valentine coloring pages (found here)
And last but not least, our ward is putting on a Valentine's Day dinner/dance with free child care!

Fun will be had by all :)
