Oh Yeah

The packaging for the heritage Dr. P is so awesome...so I had to buy it. I'm a sucker for retro design. And, it tastes great with the real sugar. It's somewhat sweeter than regular Dr. P. Recommend it? Highly. And you know this stuff won't be around for long.......

How Revealing

As if any of you care...........BUT

If I were:

If I were a month, I’d be October.
If I were a day of the week, I’d be Saturday.
If I were a time of day, I’d be 10:00 pm.
If I were a planet, I’d be Venus.
If I were a sea animal, I’d be a sea turtle.
If I were a direction, I’d be West.
If I were a piece of furniture, I’d be a chaise lounge. (What, you thought I'd be a toilet?)
If I were a liquid, I’d be delicious Dr. Pepper, with all of the calories magically removed.
If I were a gemstone, I’d be a Garnet.
If I were a tree, I’d be a Quaking Aspen.
If I were a tool, I’d be a high impact drill.
If I were a flower, I’d be a Daisy.
If I were a kind of weather, I’d be a drizzling rain (the kind with fog and grey skies).
If I were a musical instrument, I’d be a Flugelhorn.
If I were a color, I’d be a cheery Yellow.
If I were an emotion, I’d be plain old Happy.
If I were a fruit, I’d be a Pear.
If I were a sound, I’d be Wind Chimes.
If I were an element, I’d be Water.
If I were a car, I’d be a Volkswagen Carmengia.
If I were a food, I’d be a Blondie.
If I were a place, I’d be a Library, or a Bookstore.
If I were a material, I’d be Dupioni Silk.
If I were a taste, I’d be Chocolatey.
If I were a scent, I’d be Estee Lauder Tuscany perfume.
If I were an object, I’d be a Book.
If I were a body part, I’d be a Smile.
If I were a facial expression, I’d be that look just before you take a bite of your fave food.
If I were a song, I’d be my favorite Beatles tune, which changes daily.
If I were a pair of shoes, I’d be 7 year old black low top Converse, with the original laces.

Nate's New Glasses

This picture isn't too hot (blame it on the subject. He didn't want his photo taken...) but today Nate got his very first pair of glasses! We spent the better part of the afternoon getting an eye exam and picking out frames and whatnot, so Nate would be ready for school tomorrow. I am really digging his new RayBan frames. They're so cute on him! Apparently, wearing glasses takes a little getting used to, so he's trying to adjust as best as he can. Hopefully, my luck holds out, and I won't need to get glasses for a long while!

Sunbeam Sunday

Little Benny went to Sunbeams today for the very first time! I cannot believe that my baby is old enough to go to Primary. Nate went in with him for a few minutes, because he kept asking to go back to Nursery. But once he turned around and saw Sylvia sitting behind him, he was apparently ok with the situation. I am so proud of my little man, even if this picture is a little silly.

Happy 2010!

We hope that everyone had fun ringing in the New Year. On New Year's Eve, we went up to Brett and Renae's house to eat and talk and play a game or two. I'm glad we went up to spend time with them before they traveled back to Japan. On New Year's Day, we piled into the car with Grandpa Bill and Ryan and Kinohi and went up to Heber to spend time at Grandma and Grandpa Orme's cabin. Bill, Ryan and Nate took the kids out on the four wheelers to sled. Meanwhile, I stayed warm and played Five Crowns with Grandma Orme, Kinohi, Cami and Jenny. We had a great holiday!

Christmas 2009

Christmas 2009 was so much fun! We spent Christmas Eve at Grandma and Grandpa Goodrich's house, and we enjoyed great food and talked about our Christmas memories. We went to Bill and Susan's house for Christmas morning to open presents with Aunt Melissa, Uncle Eric, and Aunt Kinohi and Uncle Ryan. Grandma Susan made us a delicious breakfast. Later that day, we went to Bob and Penny's house to enjoy Christmas dinner, Lee Family style. I had a wonderful time sitting with my Grandma and chatting with Betsy and Barbara and Grandpa Tom. We were so blessed to have such a wonderful holiday!
Jingle Bells or Jingle Balls? You decide.
(Sorry so crude...this can be blamed on Uncle Eric)
The kids with their favorite Christmas present:
Snuggies!

Papa Tom doing what he does best.

The kids playing PIT

Hands down, one of my most favorite pictures.
Ever!
